  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) smoked paprika
  • 113 g (4 oz) beef bacon, crumbled
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) cream cheese, softened
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) garlic powder
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup
  • 5-10 ml (1-2 tsp) hot sauce (like sriracha or chili flakes, to taste)
  • Chopped parsley or thyme, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or applying a light coat of grease.
  2. Coat the chicken breasts with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, and place them in the prepared dish.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a small bowl, then stir until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  4. Cook in the oven for 25–30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. As the chicken cooks, gently warm the maple syrup and hot sauce together in a small pan over low heat, stirring until well blended.
  6. Pour the warmed spicy syrup over the chicken right before serving. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley or thyme.
