- 1/2 Korean pear (or apple/pear juice substitute)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tbsp gochujang (optional for spice)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

- Coat the chicken in the marinade and let it rest for at least one hour, or overnight for deeper flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 385°F.
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re in a single layer for even cooking.
- Cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even browning.
- Transfer the chicken to a hot skillet.
- Sear the chicken until golden brown, and finish with extra marinade.
- Cook on low heat for about 8 minutes per side until fully cooked.
- Plate the chicken, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve with steamed rice, lettuce wraps, or pickled vegetables.
Notes
For best results, allow the chicken to marinate overnight. Serve immediately for optimal taste.
