Ingredients
- 50g all-purpose flour (1/3 cup)
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) smoked paprika
- 1-2 eggs, beaten
- 120g breadcrumbs (1 cup)
- 3 chicken breasts (about 600g), cut into bite-size pieces
- tomato sauce to serve
Instructions
- Mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, and smoked paprika with ½-1 tsp of salt and a few twists of freshly ground black pepper on a dish.
- Pour the beaten eggs onto a separate dish and spread the breadcrumbs on a third dish.
- Coat the chicken pieces first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Arrange them on a tray.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (392°F) and then cook the chicken nuggets in a single layer for 10-12 minutes until they are thoroughly cooked and golden.
- Serve with tomato sauce, if desired.

- Note: Enhance the flavor by incorporating a hint of cayenne pepper into the flour mixture for a spicy twist.
- Second note: Opt for panko breadcrumbs to achieve a crisper coating on the chicken nuggets.
