Description
Deliciously crispy chicken tenders coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, air-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Start by making the honey garlic mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside half of this mixture for later use as a drizzle.
- Next, coat each chicken tender in the honey garlic mixture. Ensure an even coat for maximum flavor. Once coated, roll the tenders in breadcrumbs, creating a crispy layer.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This step is crucial for getting that perfect crisp texture.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they turn golden brown and are fully cooked.
- Drizzle the reserved honey garlic sauce over the tenders once they finish cooking. Serve immediately.
Notes
For deeper flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the honey garlic mixture for a few hours or overnight.
