Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (500g)
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried tarragon
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt


Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, tarragon, garlic powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Introduce the chicken breasts to this mixture, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, but not more than 2 hours.
  3. Take the chicken out of the fridge and arrange it in a single layer within the air fryer basket.
  4. Set the air fryer to 370 degrees F and cook the chicken for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 6-9 minutes, depending on the size of the breasts (refer to the note on cooking times).
  5. When the chicken’s internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F, remove it from the air fryer basket. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Consider increasing the amount of dried tarragon in the marinade for a more pronounced flavor.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken breasts to ensure they are fully cooked.
  • To achieve a crispy texture, lightly spray the chicken breasts with cooking spray before air frying.
