Discover how to make delicious Air Fryer Honey Dijon Chicken with this easy recipe. Crispy, flavorful, and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (500g)
- 1 Tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons (30ml) dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) honey
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried tarragon
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, tarragon, garlic powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
- Introduce the chicken breasts to this mixture, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, but not more than 2 hours.
- Take the chicken out of the fridge and arrange it in a single layer within the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 370 degrees F and cook the chicken for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 6-9 minutes, depending on the size of the breasts (refer to the note on cooking times).
- When the chicken’s internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F, remove it from the air fryer basket. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Consider increasing the amount of dried tarragon in the marinade for a more pronounced flavor.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken breasts to ensure they are fully cooked.
- To achieve a crispy texture, lightly spray the chicken breasts with cooking spray before air frying.
