Description

Enjoy a deliciously crispy and juicy air fryer rotisserie chicken, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (3-4 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, halved


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin.
  5. Squeeze lemon halves over the chicken and place them inside the cavity.
  6. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
  7. Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken breast side up.
  8. Cook for an additional 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for a few hours or overnight. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
