Enjoy a deliciously crispy and juicy air fryer rotisserie chicken, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (3-4 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, halved
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin.
- Squeeze lemon halves over the chicken and place them inside the cavity.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken breast side up.
- Cook for an additional 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for a few hours or overnight. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
