Description

Baked Chicken Parmesan is a comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a crispy breadcrumb mixture, topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray lightly with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
