Ingredients
- 4 pieces skin-on chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or set up a wire rack.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Add olive oil to the spice mix and stir until it forms a paste-like coating.
- Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over each drumstick.
- Arrange the drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet or wire rack.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the skin is deeply golden and crisp.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and allow the drumsticks to rest for a few minutes before serving.
