A delightful blend of crispy baked chicken coated in a spicy-sweet honey-hot sauce, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil spray for baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the honey and hot sauce together to create the glaze.
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly.
- Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing lightly so they adhere.
- Place the chicken on a prepared baking sheet and spray lightly with oil for optimal crispiness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, checking the internal temperature to reach at least 165°F.
- Drizzle the honey-hot sauce mixture over the chicken before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, increase the amount of hot sauce in your honey glaze. Allow chicken to rest after baking for optimal juiciness.
