Description
A delightful chicken dish featuring a perfect balance of sweet honey and tangy mustard that caramelizes beautifully, resulting in juicy, flavorful chicken breasts.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400º F.
- In a bowl, mix together olive oil, honey, both mustards, salt, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth.
- Lightly pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for more juiciness.
- Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the honey mustard sauce.
- Place the chicken in a 9×13-inch baking dish, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165º F.
- Optionally garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot.
Notes
Ensure even thickness in chicken breasts for uniform cooking. Let the chicken rest after baking to retain juices.
