A comforting and flavorful baked chicken dish coated in homemade teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger to create the teriyaki sauce.
- Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then stir it into the remaining sauce in the baking dish.
- Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes before baking.
