Description

A quick and delicious BBQ chicken pizza that combines tender chicken, gooey mozzarella, and the satisfying crunch of red onions, perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  4. Brush the edges with olive oil.
  5. Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  7. Distribute the BBQ chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly across the cheese.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese bubbles.
  10. Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the hot pizza immediately after removing from the oven.

Notes

For a crispier crust, consider using a pizza stone. Allow the stone to heat for at least 30 minutes before baking.
