- 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry each piece of chicken until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
