Description

A classic chicken parmesan recipe with crispy breading, succulent chicken, and rich tomato sauce topped with gooey cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.
  4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the breaded chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
