Description

A warm and comforting dish featuring tender chicken thighs smothered in a creamy sauce, served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and thyme, simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions.
  7. Serve the chicken and gravy over the fluffy white rice.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider marinating chicken thighs with spices beforehand. Experiment with different herbs for variety.
