Description

A flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a rich black pepper sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Additional black pepper, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season with salt and half the black pepper.
  2. Coat chicken in cornstarch evenly in a shallow dish.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken breasts; cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey; stir and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak up the sauce for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle remaining black pepper and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Experiment with black pepper amount for desired spiciness. Marinating the chicken enhances flavor.
