A flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a rich black pepper sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Additional black pepper, for serving
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season with salt and half the black pepper.
- Coat chicken in cornstarch evenly in a shallow dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken breasts; cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey; stir and bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak up the sauce for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle remaining black pepper and garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
Experiment with black pepper amount for desired spiciness. Marinating the chicken enhances flavor.
