Description

A creamy and satisfying pasta dish featuring Boursin cheese and fresh broccoli, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy evening meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite shape)
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 5 oz Boursin cheese (garlic and herb flavor)
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons pasta cooking water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Add the broccoli florets during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
  2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a little cooking water if needed.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and Boursin cheese, melting and blending smoothly.
  5. Add the pasta and broccoli mixture to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Season with black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

Notes

For added flavor, consider a splash of lemon juice before serving. You may also add toasted pine nuts or sliced almonds for extra texture.
