Description

A heartwarming casserole blending tender chicken and bright broccoli, wrapped in a creamy, cheesy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased baking dish.
  2. Create the creamy sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread the cooked chicken evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Layer the blanched broccoli on top of the chicken.
  5. Pour the creamy sauce over the broccoli evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top followed by the breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the sauce bubbles and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, season each layer of the casserole. Experiment with different cheese blends or add cooked rice for heartiness.
