Ingredients
- 1 rotisserie chicken shredded (about 3-4 cup (840 ml) s shredded chicken)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) buffalo wing sauce
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) ranch dressing
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) pepper
- 2 packages King’s Hawaiian rolls 12 count each
- 8 ounce (227 g) s shredded monterey jack cheese
- 3 tablespoon (45 ml) s vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350°F and prepare a large baking dish or a rimmed baking sheet with a light coating of cooking spray. Keep it aside for later.
- In a mixing bowl, place the shredded chicken. Combine it with the buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring until everything is well mixed.
- Without separating the rolls, use a large serrated knife to slice them in half horizontally, just as you would a bagel, creating a top layer and a bottom layer. Lay the bottom layer, cut side facing up, in the greased baking dish.
- Distribute half of the shredded cheese evenly over the bottom layer of rolls, then spread the chicken mixture over the cheese. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the chicken mixture, and place the top layer of rolls over everything.
- Melt the butter and mix it with the Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Use a brush to spread this mixture over the tops of the sandwiches.
- Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden.
- If you like, you can serve them with coleslaw either inside the sliders or on the side.
Notes
- For an added kick, drizzle extra buffalo wing sauce before serving.
- Switch up the cheese with cheddar or pepper jack for a unique flavor.
- Customize the flavor by experimenting with seasonings like garlic powder or onion powder.
