Description

A delightful and customizable meal featuring juicy beef patties and fresh vegetables, all cooked in convenient foil packets.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups baby potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Ketchup, mustard, pickles, or any favorite toppings
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high or the oven to 400°F.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Form the seasoned beef into four patties.
  3. Lay out four heavy-duty aluminum foil sheets. On each sheet, place equal amounts of thinly sliced potatoes, onions, and bell peppers, followed by a beef patty. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fold the foil into sealed packets, ensuring they are tightly wrapped to keep the moisture and flavors inside.
  5. Cook the packets on the grill or in the oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 160°F for the patties and ensuring the vegetables are tender.
  6. Carefully open the packets and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cooked patties. Allow the cheese to melt, then add your favorite toppings and enjoy right from the foil!

Notes

Experiment with different vegetables or meat alternatives like turkey or chicken. Ensure packets are tightly sealed to retain moisture.
