Description

A rich and creamy Butter Chicken recipe infused with aromatic Indian spices, perfect for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned.
  5. Mix in the crushed tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, and salt.
  6. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

For best results, use boneless, skinless chicken breasts and adjust spice levels to taste. Serve with basmati rice or naan.
