Description

A classic Indian dish of tender chicken simmered in a creamy sauce with fragrant spices, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in the garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the chicken pieces, cooking until they are no longer pink.
  4. Pour in the tomato puree and stir in the garam masala, cumin, and coriander. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Marinate the chicken for deeper richness, and adjust spice levels to your preference.
