A creamy and cheesy chicken casserole topped with a crunchy cracker mixture, perfect for family meals.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crushed butter crackers
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix the crushed crackers with melted butter and cheddar cheese in a separate bowl.
- Spread the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use leftover chicken for convenience. Choose a thick cream of chicken soup to avoid a watery casserole.
