Description
A comforting and easy dinner featuring tender chicken and crunchy cabbage, cooked in a fragrant stir-fry that brings excitement to weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, shredded or julienned
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, allowing these to cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped cabbage and shredded carrots along with soy sauce. Stir-fry everything until the cabbage wilts slightly but remains crunchy—this should take about 3 minutes.
- Drizzle honey and sesame oil over the stir-fry, mixing well to combine flavors.
- Serve hot on plates or in bowls, optionally garnishing with sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd your skillet; cook in batches if making a large amount. Adjust soy sauce and seasoning to taste while cooking.
