Description

A flavorful Cajun chicken dish topped with a rich, creamy sauce that makes for a comforting meal, perfect over rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and let it thicken slightly.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce.
  9. Serve the Cajun chicken over cooked rice.

Notes

Let the chicken rest after cooking for juicier results. Adjust the spice level by adding more Cajun seasoning or hot sauce.
