- 710 ml chicken broth
- 240 ml milk
- 710 ml cooked chopped chicken
- 450 g beef or chicken sausage, sliced and browned
- 2 (425 g) cans red beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (312 g) can white corn, drained
- 2 (113 g) cans chopped green chilies, undrained
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) dried minced onion flakes
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) garlic powder
- 10 g cumin
- 5 g chili powder
- 22 g cajun seasoning
- 475 g shredded cheese
Instructions
- In a Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil and mix in all-purpose flour. Let it cook for 2 minutes. Slowly incorporate the chicken broth and milk while whisking. Allow it to reach a boil and continue cooking for 2 minutes until it becomes thicker.
