Description

A comforting and easy cheesy chicken taco casserole that combines the flavors of tacos with the heartiness of a casserole, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 can creamy soup (like cream of chicken)
  • 1 cup spicy salsa
  • 1 can green chilies
  • 3 cups crunchy tortilla chips
  • Sour cream (for topping)
  • Diced tomatoes (for topping)
  • Fresh cilantro (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, creamy soup, spicy salsa, and green chilies.
  3. In a baking dish, layer half of the tortilla chips at the bottom.
  4. Pour half of the chicken mixture over the chips.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining tortilla chips and chicken mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
