Ingredients
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup rice (long-grain or jasmine)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add the steak pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sear until browned.
- Stir in the rice and beef broth, bringing to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and cover until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
