Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (5 g)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
- 4 slices of tomato
- Lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of beef cheese (optional)
- Dill pickle slices
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill.
- Grill the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- Toast the whole wheat hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
- Place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun.
- Layer with a slice of Monterey Jack cheese, if using.
- Add a slice of tomato and a few lettuce leaves on top of the chicken.
- Add dill pickle slices as desired.
- Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately.
