A comforting and satisfying chicken and rice casserole that brings families together around the dinner table.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and mixed vegetables, then add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and add cheese on top if desired, then bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
