Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, allowing it to reduce slightly.
- Add heavy cream to the skillet and stir until creamy.
- Boil a pot of salted water and cook egg noodles until al dente; drain and reserve a splash of pasta water.
- Combine the noodles with the sauce, adjusting the consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Slice the chicken and serve atop the noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra richness, consider adding grated parmesan cheese on top before serving. Adjust seasoning to taste.
