Description

A comforting bowl of Chicken Buttered Noodles featuring tender chicken breasts and silky egg noodles enveloped in a rich, buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, allowing it to reduce slightly.
  5. Add heavy cream to the skillet and stir until creamy.
  6. Boil a pot of salted water and cook egg noodles until al dente; drain and reserve a splash of pasta water.
  7. Combine the noodles with the sauce, adjusting the consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  8. Slice the chicken and serve atop the noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding grated parmesan cheese on top before serving. Adjust seasoning to taste.
