Description

Learn how to make a delicious and satisfying Chicken Frittata with our easy-to-follow recipe. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch option!

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs (8)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • 1/2 cup (30g) fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 7 ounces (200g) sliced mushrooms
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts cubed

Instructions

  1. Begin by setting your oven to 360°F (180°C) to preheat.
  2. Combine the egg mixture elements thoroughly and put aside.
  3. Warm the oil in a pan over medium to high heat.
  4. Introduce the onion, garlic, red pepper, and mushrooms to the pan, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Sauté until tender.
  5. Incorporate the cubed chicken breasts into the pan, mixing well with the vegetables.
  6. Drizzle the egg mixture over the contents in the pan and allow to cook until the bottom starts to firm, leaving the top slightly liquid.
  7. Transfer the pan to the oven and let it bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the eggs are fully set.
  8. Allow the dish to rest for 5 to 10 minutes prior to serving.

Notes

  • Consider using a mix of fresh herbs like thyme or basil instead of or in addition to parsley for enhanced flavor.
  • Increase the sour cream or milk in the egg mixture for a creamier texture.
  • Make it vegetarian by omitting chicken and adding more vegetables like zucchini or spinach.
