Description

A quick and delicious chicken and green bean stir-fry that combines tender chicken with crisp green beans, perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  2. Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the green beans and stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for an additional minute.
  3. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour this savory sauce over the chicken and green beans, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor and nutrition.
