Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese, this chicken parmesan grilled cheese features layers of tender chicken, creamy mozzarella, and zesty marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Butter, for grilling
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer half of the mozzarella cheese, followed by the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, and remaining cheese.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, season the chicken before layering and consider adding Italian seasoning or garlic powder.
