Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 pound chicken, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large casserole dish, combine the basmati rice, diced chicken, chopped onion, diced carrots, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour the chicken broth over the mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
