Ingredients
- 2 large green bell peppers (500g)
- 5 pound ground chicken (225g)
- 1 cup cooked rice (240ml)
- 25 cup chopped onion (60g)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) ground black pepper
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1 cup tomato sauce (240ml)
- 75 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (85g)
Instructions
- Collect all the necessary items. Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to preheat.
- Slice off the tops of the green peppers and arrange them in a roasting dish. Chop any flesh from around the stems and put it aside. Remove and discard the seeds and stems.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground black pepper, and salt. Stir in the chopped pepper pieces.
- Fill the hollowed peppers with the chicken mixture and pour tomato sauce over them.
- Cover the roasting dish with tin foil and place it in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Take off the foil, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the peppers, and continue baking until the filling is fully cooked and the cheese turns a golden color, approximately 15 more minutes.
