Description

Delightful chicken teriyaki served in halved pineapples, combining sweet and tangy flavors for a festive meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 pineapple, halved and cored
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  2. Pour teriyaki sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the pineapple bowls by cutting the pineapple in half and removing the core.
  4. Once the chicken is done, slice it into bite-sized pieces and mix with diced bell pepper and chopped green onions.
  5. Fill each pineapple half with the chicken mixture, drizzle additional teriyaki sauce on top, and serve.

Notes

Marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor. Consider adding chili flakes for a spicy kick.
