Delicious grilled Chicken Yakitori marinated in a flavorful blend of soy sauce, mirin, and ginger, perfect for summer evenings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and soak the skewers in water if using wooden skewers.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with additional marinade, until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
Notes
