Description

A delicious combination of crispy fried chicken coated in a sweet and tangy honey sauce, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into 1-inch thin chunks
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch or substitute with Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until foamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Whisk in cornstarch and water until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the chicken, ensuring thorough coating.
  4. Heat three inches of oil in a large pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
  5. Fry the chicken pieces in two batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In another bowl, mix the mayonnaise, honey, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  7. Just before serving, toss the freshly fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.

Notes

Cut chicken into uniform pieces for even cooking. Adjust sweetness of the sauce to taste.
