Description

Learn how to make delicious Copycat Chick Fil A Chick N Strips at home with this easy recipe. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor – a must-try for chicken lovers!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g) chicken breast tenders
  • 1 cup (240 ml) dill pickle juice
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup (120 g) flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp (23 ml) powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) ground pepper
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) paprika
  • 1 cup (240 ml) vegetable oil for frying, peanut preferred

Instructions

  1. Let the chicken breast tenders soak in the dill pickle juice for no less than 15 minutes. As they marinate, whisk the milk and egg together in a shallow dish.
  2. Mix the flour, powdered sugar, salt, ground pepper, and paprika until they are fully combined.
  3. Fill a heavy skillet or Dutch oven with vegetable oil and warm it over medium-high heat.
  4. Dip the chicken in the egg and milk blend, then coat it with the flour mixture. Repeat, making sure to press the chicken into the flour during the second coating.
  5. Once the oil reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit, cook the chicken pieces in batches for about 5 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.
  6. Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil and enjoy with your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken in dill pickle juice for up to 1 hour for a tangier flavor.
  • Double dip chicken in egg, milk, and flour mixture for a crispier coating before frying.
  • Ensure chicken reaches 165°F using a meat thermometer for safe consumption.
