Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 rolls) frozen dinner rolls (454 g)
  • 16 pieces Lightly breaded frozen chicken chunks
  • 6 tablespoons (90 ml) barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) agave nectar

Instructions

  1. Heat the rolls as per the package directions but take them out a few minutes early. They should be warm without getting a browned or crispy top, ensuring they remain very soft.
  2. Prepare the chicken chunks as instructed on their packaging. I prefer using an air fryer for this part. You can cook extra pieces to enjoy a few as a snack.
  3. As the rolls and chicken are nearly ready, heat the vegetable oil in a small bowl in the microwave until liquid. Stir in the agave nectar.
  4. To put it all together, drizzle some barbecue sauce inside each roll (alternatively, you can offer the sauce on the side), then add a piece of chicken to each roll.
  5. Once the mini sandwiches are assembled and placed back in the roll container, brush everything with the agave-oil mixture and serve right away.

Notes

  • – Ensure the dinner rolls stay soft by avoiding overheating in the oven.
  • – Follow the air fryer’s recommended cooking time for best results with the chicken.
  • – Customize the flavor with various barbecue sauces or extra seasonings for the chicken.
