Description
A delicious homemade version of the famous In-N-Out Burger featuring juicy beef patties, cheddar cheese, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Cheddar cheese slices
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
- Thousand Island dressing
Instructions
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom bun, adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and dripping with Thousand Island dressing.
- Top with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier burger, add diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper to the beef mixture. Let patties sit at room temperature before cooking for even cooking.
