Description
A simple yet delicious recipe for Parmesan crusted chicken that combines juicy chicken with a crispy, cheesy crust.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced Provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to the correct temperature and prepare a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, Provolone cheese, and Panko breadcrumbs. Drizzle in the melted butter and mix until fully coated.
- Coat the chicken breasts with the cheese and breadcrumb mixture, pressing it onto the chicken to ensure it sticks well.
- Place the coated chicken in the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
For best results, use freshly shredded cheese instead of pre-packaged. Consider herb variations for different flavors or substitute Panko crumbs for almond flour for a low-carb option.
