Description
A comforting dish that combines tender chicken breasts and al dente pasta in a rich, buttery sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside.
- While the pasta cooks, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until slightly thickened.
- Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything gently in the sauce until well coated.
Notes
Serve with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan on top. Pair with a side salad or garlic bread.
