Description

A comforting dish that combines tender chicken breasts and al dente pasta in a rich, buttery sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until slightly thickened.
  5. Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything gently in the sauce until well coated.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan on top. Pair with a side salad or garlic bread.
