Description

A flavorful and creamy pasta dish infused with bold Cajun spices, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt (for seasoning pasta water)
  • Optional: sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, spinach)


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken, cooking until golden brown.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add additional Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, and deglaze with chicken broth.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and butter, and let simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, adding salt to the boiling water.
  8. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, adjusting consistency with chicken broth if needed.
  9. Serve warm, garnished with parsley and additional Cajun seasoning.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes for extra heat, and serve with Parmesan cheese on the side if desired.
