A flavorful and creamy pasta dish infused with bold Cajun spices, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 8 ounces pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt (for seasoning pasta water)
- Optional: sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, spinach)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken, cooking until golden brown.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add additional Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, and deglaze with chicken broth.
- Stir in heavy cream and butter, and let simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, adding salt to the boiling water.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, adjusting consistency with chicken broth if needed.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley and additional Cajun seasoning.
Notes
Add red pepper flakes for extra heat, and serve with Parmesan cheese on the side if desired.
