Description

A comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken, rich sun-dried tomatoes, and a creamy sauce over pasta.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes each side. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add sun-dried tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully combined.
  8. Cook penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  9. Slice the chicken and add back to the skillet with the creamy sauce.
  10. Mix in cooked penne pasta until well coated.
  11. Transfer to preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until sauce is bubbling.
  12. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
