Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the ranch seasoning, cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth until smooth.
- Pour this mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, shred the chicken while it’s still in the slow cooker.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve topped with chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix in a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with cold water towards the end of cooking. Fresh chicken yields better results than frozen.
