Description
A rich and creamy chicken dish featuring juicy chicken breasts smothered in a flavorful garlic cream sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Lower the heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir to deglaze, scraping up any flavorful bits sticking to the bottom of the skillet. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the sauce.
Notes
Serve over pasta or alongside mashed potatoes for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
