A comforting and creamy garlic Parmesan chicken breast dish that is easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping any bits off the bottom. Add grated Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the creamy sauce.
Notes
To enhance flavor, avoid overcrowding the skillet while searing the chicken. Add additional herbs or vegetables for variations.
