Description

A warm, comforting dish featuring tender chicken and pasta enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or basil

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add the chicken and sear until golden brown and fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes on each side. Remove and slice.
  3. In boiling water, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  4. In the skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, mixing well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add drained pasta to the creamy sauce and toss to coat, using reserved pasta water as needed.
  8. Return sliced chicken to the skillet, mixing everything and letting it heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil, and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. Serve with garlic bread or salad.
